Low E Glass

Low E glass refers to the glass’s ability to reflect heat. Low E coatings on glass surfaces afford the glass to reflect heat and light, while cutting down on harmful UV rays. With all of our insulated glass, you have the option of selecting high performing, Low E glass, utilizing Argon gas for additional thermal performance.

The Mystic Sunroom Insulated glass package consists of 2 pieces of glass (double pane), sandwiched together with airspace between the panes of glass, providing thermal performance. Insulated glass provides more enjoyment of your new sunroom space. Single pane glass consists of only 1 piece of glass with no airspace and is ideally suited for seasonal usage for your sunroom.

For our Vista View sunrooms, we utilize Sungate 500® Low E glass as part of the insulating glass package. Sungate 500® is a hardcoat Low E coating that is on the inboard lite of the insulated glass package and is designed to reduce heat gain in your sunroom.

Our Grand View vinyl sunroom utilizes high performance Solarban 70VT® Low E glass as an integral part of the insulating glass package. Solarban 70 VT® is a softcoat Low E coating which consists of multiple layers of metal oxides to enhance thermal performance in reducing heat gain in your sunroom. Solarban 70VT® is one of the best performing Low E glass coatings in the glass industry today.
